FAQs
ARE KIDS INVITED?
While we absolutely adore your children, the welcome party, ceremony and reception are adult-only events. Feel free to bring them to the farewell brunch on Sunday if needed.
Will there be transportation?
Yes, we will be providing transportation from both hotels to and from the wedding venue on Saturday. While there is ample free parking at The Westchester Country Club, we want you to enjoy your evening! For Friday's welcome party, we will not be providing transportation, but Orienta does have free parking available onsite. A full transportation schedule will be shared on the website during the week of the wedding—please be sure to check back then.

why the orienta and the westchester country club?
Joe and his brothers grew up going to Orienta every summer - swimming and playing tennis. The Magliano family has been members of Orienta since 1988. Joe's grandmother is currently a member of Westchester Country Club and enjoys playing bridge with her friends at the club once a week.
what is the best way to get to RYE?
Flying: Westchester County Airport (HPN ~ 15 minute drive) is closest—about 6 miles north of Rye. However there are often more expensive and limited flights. The next closest airport is LaGuardia (LGA ~ 50 minute drive) followed by John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK ~ 1.5 hour drive) and Newark (EWR ~ 1.5 hour drive) . *Note that if you are flying in on Friday to LGA, JFK or Newark, you can hit rush hour traffic leaving NYC on Friday afternoon that may make your drive longer.
Train: For those coming out of NYC by train, take the Metro-North New Haven Line from Grand Central Terminal directly to Rye. Trains depart roughly every 30 minutes, and the trip is a little under an hour. Amtrak also comes through with the closest stops being Stamford (25 minute drive) and Penn Station (50+ minute drive/train).
Driving: If you are driving, just consider rush hour traffic around NYC if you are arriving on Friday.
parking at the sonesta and opus hotels
Both hotels have parking onsite for a daily or hourly fee. There are also several cheaper parking garages in the nearby area.
parking at Sunday’s farewell brunch
The Red Horse Restaurant is attached to the Opus Hotel. If you are coming from the Sonesta or elsewhere, we recommend you park in the Hamilton Main Municipal parking lot at 386 Hamilton Ave White Plains for a very low hourly rate or find street parking (usually limited). The Opus and Sonesta hotels are a 5 minute drive from each other.
